This happens with widebody kits sometimes. People ask (and sometimes get) well above market value for their vehicles, just because of the body kit.

In ~2005 Geiger widebody C4's were fetching almost double that of a regular C4 Corvette, for what was basically just a body kit. What's crazy is that the C4 was 2 generations behind at this point. Crazy!
